Welcome!

Florencia Bravo is currently a doctoral student at SUNY Buffalo who studies Victorian and Gothic literature, literary depictions of madness, and gender and ethnicity. She received a B.A. in English Literature at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) with a minor in Creative Writing in 2024 and was awarded the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship and Sally Casanova Scholarship.

Florencia is also a creative writer with a novel in the works. Her short story, “The Ocean Carries Your Voice,” received a third-place award from Santiago Canyon College’s Annual Writing Contest. Additionally, some of her other works have been published in Enjambed, California State University Dominguez Hills’ student-led literary journal. Florencia served as the lead editor of Enjambed her last year at CSUDH in 2024. Enjambed is a digital literary journal that is openly available here.
